The purpose of the Lovells Township Zoning Ordinance is to promote the public health, safety, and general welfare by encouraging the proper use of lands, conserving natural resources and energy in meeting the needs of residents for food, fiber, and other natural resources, places of residence, recreation, industry, trade, service, and other uses by insuring that they be situated in appropriate locations, avoiding overcrowding or congestion, providing adequate light and air, reducing hazards to life and property, facilitating adequate provision for a system of transportation, sewage disposal, adequate safe water supply, education, recreation, or public requirements, and conserving the expenditure of funds for public improvements and services.
